Mary-Olive McCluskey

Advocate | Licensed Insolvency Practitioner

Mary-Olive McCluskey read law at the Aristotle University in Greece (2000-2004), followed by a Master of Laws in European Law at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom (2005-2006). She is an active member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2006 following completion of the relevant trainee requirements at the Office of the Attorney General (2005-2006).


From 2006 to 2017, she was employed by Karides & Karides LLC, a law firm in Nicosia focusing in shipping and banking law, and since 2018, she has established Mary-Olive McCluskey LLC. During her practice, she has acquired experience in several fields of law, including litigation before the District Courts and Special Jurisdiction Courts. Additionally, she is registered with the following Cyprus public registries: Registry of licensed Insolvency Practitioners, Registry of Sworn translators, registry of CySEC certified persons (advanced examination), Registry of Certified HRDA trainers.


Her main field of interest and experience includes company and commercial law, and since 2021 she is providing independent legal services to the Safety Regulation Unit of the Cyprus Civil Aviation Department. As of September 2023, Mary-Olive is also a PhD law student with the University of Cyprus, field of research: Aviation Law and the application of the Cape Town Convention and Aircraft Protocol in the Republic of Cyprus (judicial and extra-judicial remedies).

Georgios C. Constantinides

Advocate

Georgios C. Constantinides, following his graduation from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece), he was employed in the law firm of Dracos and Efthymiou LLC. His hands on experience includes personal handling of civil cases before the District Courts, administration of estates and family law. He is an elected member (Treasurer) of the Nicosia Bar Association. He was appointed as member of the Cyprus Basketball Federation Dispute Resolution Committee and of the Cyprus Volleyball Federation Dispute Resolution Committee and consultant of the Cyprus Handball Federation.

Yiannakis Solomou​

Translator | ex Director of the Press and Information Office of the Republic of Cyprus

Yiannakis Solomou graduated from the Pancyprian Gymnasium Kykkos and has studied Political Science at Panteion University of Athens and obtained a Master Degree in Public Sector Management from the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM). He passed with grade A the Cambridge Proficiency Examination. Further, he has studied and passed with grade A, the specific Cambridge Proficiency examination on Greek-English and English-Greek translation. For many years, he served as the Director of the Press and Information Office in Cyprus and as Acting Director of the Cyprus News Agency. He has a vast experience in official translations of official statements and Government and United Nations Reports. He was appointed as a translator and media relations officer of the United Nations Development Programme-ACT. He currently prepares translations for Mary-Olive McCluskey LLC and is also a translator and article writer for a big Asian news network.
